Your primary thought is about shutting coal production down - but, THINK(!); first thing in the morning: when you shut off your electric clock/radio, when you turn on your bathroom lights, when you shower w/warm water, when you blow dry your hair, when you perk your coffee while getting ready to plug in your electric car - along w/millions of other entities using/depending on/expecting power... And when the wind stops blowing & sun isn't shining and the power company can't charge 'company wind/solar batteries' that store energy from both, enought that they HAVE TO power the entire USA - what will you do then? Call the power company to 'send' more power, isn't that where they 'manufacture' electricity...! Kind of like the woman who said she always thought that milk came from the grocery store. Now that she found out it came from cows, she would never drink it again... P.S. - read the stats from ALL research- not just fron YOUR uninformed watchdog groups or AL GORE's ('I'll be a billionaire before these saps catch on'). Then maybe you will realize that God gave these resources to us for a reason - guess He just hoped we would have enough sense to use them wisely!!!
